Cider & Wine at RainCoast Farms

Our Story

In 2016, we became farmers. Our dream was to start a vineyard and maintain an orchard and numerous cultivated berry patches. Quickly, we found ourselves with hundreds of pounds of grapes, apples, pears and berries. Lack of labor made it economically infeasible to deliver the fruit to market; so we decided to quickly process the fruit into juice and ferment it into wine and hard ciders. We are proud to intoduce our first line of beverages from RainCoast Cider Works and RainCoast Cellars.

Shake your thing

A recent review described “its color as crisp and with good clarity, pretty in the glass; its mousse as delightful small bubbles that made for a nice mouthfeel ; its acidity as spot on; its sweetness correct for the style and its fruit focused and pure.”

Its oak notes come through strong so if you love barreled aged cider then you’ll love RainCoast’s Shake Your Thing.

Shake Your Thing would pair lovely with an aged Cheddar or Gouda cheese. We love to serve it with BBQ steak, brisket and ribs.

Our $15.00 bottle easily serves 3-4 people.

Wine By RainCoast Cellars

Blackberry wine

We grow three types of cultivated blackberries on RainCoast Farms : marion, black pear and triple crown. Our method of slow drip irrigation once the berries form produce the juiciest and most plump berries. Having a beautiful medium dark shade of blue magenta, our wine has a smooth and balanced flavor like a Merlot or Malbec wine. the combination of all three berries makes this wine very smooth and aromatic.

Our Blackberry wine pairs nicely with fruit, crackers and cheese especially Brie or Delice De Bourgogne Lincet.

A glass of our Blackberry wine with a slice of chocolate cake or poured over ice cream is scrumptious.

A splash of this wine into a favorite cocktail adds the perfect amount of sweetness and complexity to make any drink memorable.

The possibilities are numerous with this versatile dessert wine.

Our $20.00 bottle easily serves 3-4 people.

Siegerrebe

Siegerrebe (zee-geh-RAY-buh) is a white wine grape that is a cross between Madeleine Angevine and Gerwurztraminer. In Washington State, Siegerrebe is grown only on the west side of the Cascade Mountain, in the Puget Sound American Viticultural Area (AVA). Siegerrebe carries delightfulcomplex floral aromas with floavors of apple, lemon and melon. You might think "‘sweet’ but actually finishes quite dry. Pairs beautifully with appetizers, salads, salmon and curry dishes.

Siegerrebe 2022

Siegerrebe 2022 was created as light bodied unfiltered dry white wine due mostly to our extremely wet spring filling our mineral rich aquifer and swelling our grapes to beautiful, enormous bunches. It has the same unique floral aromas but feels crisper and more watery in the mouth and contains lower alcohol, compared to heavier bodied white wine. It’s a wine you can drink all day poolside or pairs beautifully with blue cheese, prosciutto & melon or quiche.

$18/bottle

Flight of any three wines or ciders $15

Arancia Siegerrebe

Arancia Siegerrebe is another lighter bodied wine with a unique flavor profile. Fermented with prolong contact on its own Siegerrebe skins, a soft orange wine was created with flavors of beeswax, juniper, bruised apple (compost from our orchard ground apples) and dried orange rind. Often regarded as a funky wine, orange wines pair well with hearty stews and roasted meats.

Pinot Noir

Four years ago, Mike decided that he wanted to grow Pinot Noir grapes. Everyone laughed and said Pinot wouldn’t grow here. We are proud to introduce our first 2022 Estate Pinot Noir wine. It’s everything we imagined and more. We enjoy its medium body and earthy flavor profiles of cherries raspberries, and apple; finishing with a hint of vanilla and baked spices from French Oak barrel aging. Pinot pairs so well with roasted turkey beet salad with goat cheeses, anything mushroom especially soup and our favorit pair is pepperoni pizza!
